EzAlgos Trade Copier Pro

Copy trades across accounts. Control the risk.

This page covers installation, upgrades, primary/secondary setup, symbol mapping, risk controls, emergency sync, logs, and the daily pre-trade check.

Trade copying can place live orders on multiple accounts. Test in Sim first, confirm primary/secondary accounts, and keep the copier window open while trading.

Video walkthrough

Watch the copier install and setup.

This video walks through installing and using the copier. The current release may look slightly different, but the install and setup flow should be the same or very close.

Note: this walkthrough was recorded on an earlier version of the copier. Updates may have been released since the video was recorded, so use the written guide on this page as the current reference.
Basic setup

Create a primary group.

The primary account is the account you trade from. Secondary accounts receive copied trades.

1

Choose primary

In Account Setup, select the account you trade from.

2

Choose secondary accounts

Select one or more accounts that should receive copied trades.

3

Add group

Click ADD GROUP. The group appears under Active Groups and starts paused.

4

Resume when ready

Click the primary group status control only after accounts and risk settings are verified.

Primary/Secondary controls

Primary Group Pause/Resume
Pauses or activates the entire primary group. When paused, no new trades copy for that group.
Secondary Status Toggle
Pauses one secondary while other secondarys in the group can keep copying.
FLATTEN
Flattens that secondary account and pauses it. Use this when one secondary has a problem and should not re-sync.
Flatten Group
Flattens secondary positions for one primary group and leaves the group paused.
FLATTEN ALL
Emergency control for flattening configured accounts. Use with caution.
Features

What each feature does.

These are the controls users need to understand before copying trades live.

Order copying

Copies normal primary orders to active secondary accounts.

  • Entries and exits
  • Stop orders
  • Target and limit orders
  • OCO-style protective brackets
  • Exit-side manual Chart Trader/ATM stops and targets

Protective backfill

If a secondary is not ready when a primary stop or target appears, the copier can retry protective orders after the secondary position updates.

Risk multiplier

Controls secondary size relative to calculated copied size.

  • 1.0x: normal calculated size
  • 0.5x: about half size
  • 2.0x: about double size

Risk guards

Configured per secondary. Edit while the secondary is flat.

  • Daily Max Loss
  • Daily Max Profit
  • Trail Profit
  • Lockout After Breach

Entry filters

Help block trades you do not want copied to a secondary.

  • Block short entries
  • Block long entries
  • Soft or strict hedging rules
  • Type or direction exclusive modes

Naked Guard

Optional safety feature. If a secondary has a live position without working protective orders after the grace period, Naked Guard can flatten that secondary.

Symbol mapping

Map full-size futures to micros.

Mappings use a 10x quantity multiplier by default. Risk multiplier is applied after the mapping multiplier.

Example: Primary buys 1 NQ. Secondary maps NQ → MNQ. Secondary receives 10 MNQ, adjusted by the secondary risk multiplier.
If a mapped instrument cannot resolve, the copier skips the order and logs SYMBOL_MAP_RESOLVE_FAILED. It should not fall back to the primary contract.

Recovery systems

TC_SYNC is emergency recovery, not normal copying.

Normal behavior is direct order copy. TC_SYNC stays quiet unless the copier needs a recovery path.

When TC_SYNC may appear

  • Reconnect recovery
  • Resume/re-sync after a group was paused
  • Safety-net flatten when the primary is flat but a secondary is stuck
  • Strategy/internal synchronize recovery

Contract caps

Under Lockout, each secondary has emergency sync caps.

CapDefault
TC_SYNC MAX MICRO20
TC_SYNC MAX STANDARD2
TC_SYNC should not re-enter a secondary after the secondary exits early. The copier can pause/fence that secondary.
Daily checklist

Check this before trading.

Use this before every live session and after every update.

Best practices

  • Use Sim first after every update.
  • Do not add or remove secondarys while a group is actively trading.
  • Pause the group before changing mappings or risk settings.
  • Use clear account names.
  • Use conservative risk multipliers for new users.
  • If a secondary behaves unexpectedly, flatten and pause that secondary before troubleshooting.
Problems

Check the log before guessing.

The activity log usually tells you why a trade did or did not copy.

Secondary did not copy
  • Primary group paused?
  • Secondary paused?
  • Secondary connected?
  • Secondary risk-locked?
  • Entry filter blocked?
  • Symbol mapping failed?
  • Log shows MASTER_ORDER_IGNORED or COPY_ROUTE_MISS?
Stops or targets did not copy
  • Secondary position live yet?
  • Log shows PROTECTIVE_BACKFILL_RETRY_QUEUED?
  • Symbol mapping failed?
  • Stops/targets valid exit-side orders?
  • Secondary account connected?
Group restored but is paused
Expected behavior. Groups restore paused for startup safety. Resume only when ready.
Secondary turned red or paused
  • Risk breach
  • Manual secondary trade detected
  • Manual flatten or early secondary exit
  • Connection issue
  • Runtime desync
  • Safety protection triggered

Useful log messages

  • SYMBOL_MAP_RESOLVE_FAILED
  • PROTECTIVE_BACKFILL_RETRY_QUEUED
  • POSITION_PROTECTIVE_BACKFILL_QUEUED
  • COPY_ROUTE_MISS
  • MASTER_ORDER_IGNORED
  • TC_SYNC_EMERGENCY_PATH
  • MANUAL_TRADE_AUTO_PAUSE
When asking support for help, send the log file and approximate trade time.
Support handoff

Open a support ticket.

Send enough information for support to find the account, instrument, mapping, and trade event.

  • Date and time of the trade
  • Primary account name
  • Secondary account name
  • Instrument and mapping used
  • Screenshot if available
  • Log file from %LocalAppData%\EzAlgoTradeCopier\logs
  • Whether the trade was manual Chart Trader/ATM or strategy-generated
